After struggling with and eventually recovering from an eating disorder, I decided to pursue a career in helping others. My experience gives me a unique perspective, and insight into the minds of people with this problem -- an uncommon depth of understanding. Additionally, I am living proof to those who question whether it is possible to recover.
My therapeutic style is a balance of supporting my clients to find their authentic selves and challenging them to grow beyond their self-imposed limits.
Believing that each person is unique, I do not have a “one size fits all” attitude when treating clients. I take great pride in getting to know each person I work with on a very personal level. This offers me a window into the individual’s life experience, not just their symptoms.
I believe that recovery begins by developing a secure, honest therapeutic relationship. This relationship will become the foundation from which you are challenged to confront your deepest fears.
